This position is available at our Cologne site within the Maintenance Engineering Mechanical department.
Your area of responsibility
In your role as a Project Engineer (m/f/d) in Mechanical Engineering, you will have the responsibility for planning, implementing, supporting, and managing projects. Additionally, you will be accountable for developing specifications and coordinating the type and scope of equipment for new installations.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional capable of effectively translating theoretical knowledge into practical application. You are tasked with seamlessly connecting solid technical knowledge with real-world scenarios. You readily comprehend even intricate contexts and can apply and adapt concepts to new situations. Your competence is not confined to a strong theoretical foundation; you have also demonstrated practical success in applying this knowledge. In doing so, you can communicate confidently at all levels.
Some of your further tasks include:
Developing, designing, and implementing optimization concepts for existing installations
Planning and coordinating projects
Establishing, optimizing, and adhering to project budgets
Soliciting technical support proposals
Formulating requirements for parts, components, systems, and services
Conducting error analyses and initiating corrective measures

Successful completion of technical studies with a Dipl. Ing., bachelor's, or master's degree
A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a comparable position (e.g., oil and gas, power plant, or production/conveyor planning)
Fluent English language skills are required
Proficiency in CAD skills is a must
A responsible, conscientious, and independent working style
The ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and translate them into actionable steps
Innovative thinking and the capability to develop creative and practical solutions
Strong teamwork skills, quick comprehension, and a high regard for occupational safety
