Your responsibility areas

In your role as Senior Sourcing Specialist you  develop and execute tactical sourcing plans aligned with the business and category managers. Further tasks are:

  • Identify and implement pipeline of cost optimization initiatives in collaboration with the business lines

  • Own and govern assigned supplier relationships, monitor supplier performance, introduce corrective actions and development plans

  • Actively engage with category managers to lead negotiation, sourcing and contracting activities aligned with category strategies

  • Execute supplier risk mitigation activities to avoid supply chain disruptions

  • Track and report sourcing initiatives and cost performance metrics in respective systems

  • Develop and coach other procurement team members

Your profile

  • Successfully completed relevant studies, ideally with a focus on Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field

  • At least 5 years of experience in strategic procurement or supply chain management function

  • Seasoned user of MS Office plus Procurement systems and tools such as Ariba, Qlik, also SAP or other similar ERP systems

  • Fluent in German, Advance level of English

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, effective time management and organizational abilities, along with strong negotiation capabilities

  • Some travel will occur
