Senior Accounting Specialist

NKT manufactures and sells power cables for a span of applications, including the renewal of the energy transfer network, connection of offshore wind-parks to the grid, and high energy transmission across borders. NKT Shared Service Centre for Accounting and Financial Control in Kaunas is looking for a motivated, curious and goals oriented collegue to join our AP team. Joining HQ in Kaunas with ~140 colleagues across all functions in house you will open yourself unlimited future career opportunities in corporate international finance.

What can you expect from the position?

You will be based in an international environment in a modern office in Kaunas. The role requires attention to detail, accounting skills and ability to work individually and also as a part of the team. You will be handling stakeholders' and suppliers' queries, participating in period-close procedures for Accounts Payable and supporting colleagues. You can also expect to receive inquiries and deliver accurate reports for internal customers and outsourcing partners or authorities. Other tasks will be:

• Pro-actively solve or escalate unforeseen issues and exceptions.
• Participate in period close procedures.
• Support audit activities and liaise with auditors (both internal and external).
• Enable junior team members to perform according to standards and act as a mentor.
• Identify opportunities and run process improvement initiatives to achieve even greater accuracy, financial control and efficiency.
• Play significant role in quality assurance and operational excellence projects. 
• Serve as a deputy team leader.
• Complete any other role-specific assignments as directed by the line manager..

To be considered for this role, please be aware that we will be looking for the following main requirements:

• 2-3 years of professional experience in accounting or similar position.
• Accounting/finance background.
• Ability to build good relationship with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Customer service mindset.
• High technical skills and attention to details.
• Fluent in English.

Salary range for this position is from 2500 Eur to 2900 Eur Gross.
