Develop and evolve our security and infrastructure strategy

As Security and Infrastructure Operations Architect, you will design and implement security measures across NKT’s IT infrastructure. You’ll ensure our systems are resilient, compliant, and aligned with business goals, while effectively responding to emerging threats and technologies. This role combines strategic oversight with real-world application, making it ideal for someone who thrives in both planning and operational environments.

Your responsibility will be to:

• Define and scope security and infrastructure improvements
• Oversee infrastructure architecture and security initiatives across IT projects
• Design scalable, secure, and resilient IT infrastructure solutions (networks, servers, storage, cloud, etc.)
• Maintain and execute security and infrastructure roadmaps
• Define and enforce infrastructure standards, policies, and best practices
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and security requirements (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001)

You will report to the VP – Infrastructure & Operations and collaborate closely with IT leadership, project managers, and security stakeholders. The role is based in Kaunas and includes approximately 10–20 travel days per year.

We’re looking for a person who is organized and methodical, structured, and thrives in a collaborative environment. You communicate with clarity and confidence, using facts to align stakeholders. Your ability to balance strategic vision with operational execution makes you a trusted advisor and an innovative problem solver.

You also have:

• A relevant academic degree in computer science
• Relevant certifications within Cloud, Network, Security and Infrastructure
• 5–10 years of experience in IT infrastructure and security
• Extensive experience in complex, international IT environments
• Deep understanding of network architecture and security frameworks
